As a result, I ended up at a place that was not a good fit.
Sure it was clean, relatively, and a place to leave my stuff and sleep at night, but I could never call it home.
So I cut my intended time in half and searched for something more like home. And within a few days, I found one. Checked it out with a friend and signed the contract immediately, setting the move in date to my soonest day off.
Which brings me to today. Leaving one place before I hate it for no fault of its own to a new place that I truly hope I can call home.

In other news, this my last weekend at my grandmother's place. I'm off to Nagoya on Monday, sign my contract on Tuesday and Wednesday to Friday I have orientation. Thus my new life will begin.
I'll have access to Internet where I'm staying so I'll try to write more then. There really is only so much I'll punch in on a keitai keypad.

Let your guard down while waiting in line for a train or bus, and 4 times out of 5, a middle-aged Japanese lady will cut in front of you.
If you're really lucky, it'll be a flock of them.

In other news, I need to remember there's lagtime between pushing the shutter button and the actual shot on my keitai camera.

It's raining here and the frogs in the front garden are croaking like mad. (At least I think they're frogs.) The rain is cold and it's all together chilly today. I wish I had picked up some black tea in Nagoya or Hama. Next time.
